Resurgent Capital Services L.P.
(“Resurgent”) employees contribute to our communities by
giving their time and money to several charitable
organizations. In 2006 the Resurgent Humanitarian Council was
formed for the express purpose of overseeing the charitable
giving and volunteer efforts of the employees of Resurgent in Greenville. In
Cincinnati, the Community
Action Council was formed for the same purpose. Through these
two committees we have been able to expand the scope of our
volunteer efforts through organizations such as Meals on
Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, Metropolitan Arts Council, Hands
On Greenville, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation to name a few. |

Habitat for Humanity:
For over 25 years, Habitat for Humanity has helped low-income families achieve their dreams of having a place to call home. Through volunteer labor, donations of money, and help of the homeowner, partner families, local corporations, and many volunteers, Habitat for Humanity is able to assist in making these dreams come true. Habitat houses are sold to the families at no profit and financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build even more Habitat houses.
Hundreds
of Resurgent employees have come together since 2003 to
help build homes through a partnership with Habitat for
Humanity. By giving their time, energy, and talent, they
have built three homes, complete with landscaping, in
Travelers Rest and
Greenville,
South Carolina.
Resurgent generously contributes the cost of the
materials to build the homes, and through various
fundraising efforts by the Humanitarian Council, we have
been able to equip the homes with essentials such as
appliances, ceiling fans, household goods, microwaves,
cookware, linens, and non-perishable food items.
Resurgent's Habitat volunteers team up to lay a heavy flooring section during
construction of a Habitat house in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

Bikes for Kids:
Resurgent
biannually sponsors a Bikes for Kids program. It
benefits children in need of a "special" gift during the
holidays. Rather than exchanging holiday gifts,
Resurgent and our network of supporting agencies and
attorneys make donations to the Bikes for Kids program.
Our 2006 and 2008 Bikes for Kids programs entailed the purchase
and assembly of 1,000 bikes each year for delivery to children in
need living in the
Greenville
community.
Dozens of employees volunteered by learning how to put
together a bicycle or participating in their delivery.2010 promises to be another exciting Bikes for Kids year.

Christmas Giving:
Because of the state of the economy in 2008, the
Humanitarian Council decided that we could assist others in need by utilizing
some of the funds budgeted for the Employee Christmas party. Those reductions
permitted a donation of $10,000 to the Harvest Hope food bank for the purchase
of a delivery truck. The Blue Star Moms was also presented $2,500 to send
supplies and items of need to service men and women.Since 2008, our Christmas party
included a food drive or toy drive. Some of the organizations that have benefited
from these drives are Harvest Hope and Toys for Tots.
Each Christmas season, Greenville employees fulfill the hopes and dreams of
many children and their families by supplying gifts that otherwise
may not be received. In 2009,the number that was "adopted" was 57 along with many toys
going to Toys for Tots.We have had the opportunity to play Santa each year through our
involvement with GAIHN, Safe Harbor, Country Santa , Toys for Tots, Center for
Developmental Services (CDS), New Foundations, and Child’s Haven. In most
instances, our gifts are given to children ranging from 3 -18 years of age.
The Employees in our Sioux Falls site work with the Salvation Army Angel Tree
program to sponsor children by shopping for gifts on their wish list.

for children. Their 40 years of experience ensures the children we help receive
everything they deserve. They serve abused and neglected children of all ages
in the custody of child welfare and juvenile justice agencies in the states of
Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia. For several years, NECCO has placed a
‘giving tree’ on-site at the Resurgent office, and employees take a gift tag and
provide a holiday gift to a child in need. Each year, there has been an
overwhelming response from the employees usually requiring that the tree be
restocked with tags during the event.

Ronald McDonald House:
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati provides a supportive
‘home away from home’ for families and their children from all over the world
who are receiving treatment at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center or
other area hospitals, regardless of their ability to pay.
The House provides a comfortable place where families can sleep, eat home-cooked
meals, and meet others facing similar situations and offer support to one
another during difficult times. It is supported by generous individuals,
McDonald's owner/operators, local businesses, civic groups, foundations, and a
large, caring group of volunteers.
Since 2005, Resurgent’s IT group has had the pleasure of providing and serving
meals to those staying at the Ronald McDonald House. The team provides an
average of 3 meals yearly, which gives those staying at the facility a good meal
without having to leave the premises. Many recipients have wonderful things to
say about our efforts, and we enjoy the chance to give back to the community!
